Are you LinkedIn?

If you are searching for a job, LinkedIn provides way more than just a way for upper-level management to connect with other professionals. LinkedIn offers some of the best online courses for training on common office tools, web and graphic design, administrative apps, and then ALSO training on how to get a job. It is one of the best sources for professional development.

The courses are free!

Although you will be asked to pay for courses on LinkedIn Learning, most public libraries have a general subscription to LinkedIn Learning. The Halifax Public Libraries, for example, have a subscription that you can access online as long as you have an active library card. If you don’t, go get one, and you can start using it right away.

For access, go to the website for the Halifax Public Libraries. Then choose their E-Library and find LinkedIn Learning.

There are many courses available, and these are only a few:

  • Become a Successful Job Hunter
  • Job Search Strategies
  • Finding a Remote Job
  • Finding a Job on LinkedIn
  • Techniques to get you noticed
  • Find a Job in the Hidden Job Market

  • and so many more
